It's been a year!

It's been a year since Ben signed on with Emirates Airlines. It's been a great year and a great company to work for!

We celebrated out one year wedding anniversary on May 21, 2009 by going to England for 2 weeks. We spent a lot of time with Ben's family who were gracious enough to give us traveler's a bed and yummy meals at night. We rented a car and drove all over England to see Oxford, Stonehenge, Portsmouth, Stratfford upon Avon, Warwick and Windsor Castles, Sherwood Forest, London, Tintagel and everything in between. What a fantastic journey in such a beautiful country!

We've had two more births this year in the Martin family! Sedona Lennex Lynn Martin was born June 5, 2009 to Simon and Dana. We are waiting for pictures of a new nephew born yesterday...

Recently, we traveled to the US to Keene, New Hampshire for Adam and Erin's wedding. Ben was a groomsman for his friend of 10 years from Embry-Riddle days.

We went loved Hawaii! Diving, Snorkeling, a Luau, Boating...what a vacation!!

What's been going on...

We are approaching the 6 month mark of our move to Dubai!
It's been a great start and we are anxious to see what 2009 brings us!

We have met new friends....

The Highlights...

• Ben has already traveled to more than 10 new places in the world- Istanbul, Cape Town, Paris, Singapore, Jakarta, Mumbai, Houston, Bangladore, Kochin, Rhiad, Doha.


• This weekend he will fly to London, UK and will be able to visit his aunt, cousins and 2nd cousins! And later this month he's off to L.A. on a 16 hour flight, where he will be able to visit friends over the weekend.
  
• Erin went to Charlotte, NC for her 29th Birthday and was able to visit with family and friends for 10 days. Spending time with everyone made this birthday the best!
  
• In March, Ben and Erin are going on a Holiday to the States, which will be spent in Lihue, Kauai with his parents for a week. We plan to go on our first DIVING experience together. Then its off to Charlotte, NC for some family time for 9 days.


• On January 20, 2009, Piper Martin was born. We are anxious to meet her and see our nephew Zayne.
  
• 2009 already promises a big year of love and excitement. Baby Piper was born, Simon and Dana are due in May and Catherine and Daniel are due in August- we love being an Aunt and Uncle!
